We at the Local Business Internet Marketing University are beyond excited to bring you our 5th LIVE Google+ Hangout on Air on Friday February 21st at 9AM CST. This time we’ll be talking about the 2013 tax season and what your local business needs to do to get prepared for it!

Our Guest Panelist, CPA & Local/Small Business CPA & Tax Expert Greg Lemons

Greg Lemons PictureWe’re stoked to have local/small business CPA and tax expert Greg Lemons join us on the Hangout! Greg has been a CPA for over 36 years and is the former CFO and Controller of two different Fortune 500 companies (one of which was Mapco). He left the corporate world 11 years ago to open up his own accounting firm dedicated to helping small businesses exclusively.

I think it’s safe to say with a resume like that we have the most prolific small business tax expert in the United States joining us on the 21st and we are extremely lucky to have him.

What Will I Learn?

The “Local/Small Business 2013 Tax Hangout + Q&A” will be a little different than our previous Google+ Hangouts and not just because we were able to snag Greg to come and talk with us. Normally, we talk about internet marketing for your local business but since tax season is coming up, we know you guys want to get expert advice on your local business taxes for this year and so that’s exactly what we decided to bring to you.

During the Hangout Greg and I will be touching on many of the questions you have as a local business about taxes. We will be tackling a lot of your issues such as:

  • How to squeeze the most money out of your tax return
  • When is DIY tax (such as Turbo Tax, etc.) a viable option for my business taxes
  • At what growth stage in my business is it time to start looking for a tax professional
  • The truth about H&R Block & their true tax cost
  • How to avoid hiring the wrong CPA for your business taxes if you choose to go that route
  • Very costly and common mistakes businesses make on their taxes
  • How to avoid audits
  • Common deductions missed that really hurt a business
  • What’s new in the 2013 tax year
  • What’s on the horizon for the 2014 tax year
  • And much, much more

And as always there will be a Q&A at the end so you can ask Greg specific questions pertaining to your own local business. While I will be on the Hangout I’m mostly going to be deferring to Greg on a lot of these things. When you have an expert like Greg in a Hangout, you want to give him as much time to share his wealth of knowledge as possible.

This is obviously a Hangout you’re not going to want to miss.

How Do I Attend?
